The current, intelligently applied.

The Faraday Lineage

Our name is a phonetic echo of Michael Faraday, the pioneering scientist who discovered electromagnetic induction in 1831. This fundamental principle governs every electric motor and electrochemical cell operating today. Every Farionix forklift is, at its physical core, a Faraday machine. We root our brand in the practical origin of the technology itself.

The AI Signature

Look closely at our wordmark and you will see the letters A and I embedded in sequence. This signature represents the intelligent telematics software layer built directly into our trucks. Faraday gave the world the electrical current; the intelligence is ours to add.

/ 02 — founding story

A structural shift and a bet on what comes next.

In 1831, Michael Faraday discovered that a moving magnet could induce an electric current. Almost two centuries later, that single insight powers every electric motor on the planet—including the ones lifting pallets in warehouses across South Africa.
Farionix is built on that lineage, and on a simple bet about what comes next.
South Africa's materials handling industry runs on diesel. It's expensive, it's emitting, and as of January 2026, it's taxed at R308 per tonne of CO₂—climbing every year. Meanwhile, lithium-ion technology has quietly solved every reason warehouse operators used to give for sticking with combustion. Electric forklifts now run cleaner, cheaper, quieter, and longer than the trucks they replace.
The shift is happening. What's missing is a specialist.
We are that specialist. Farionix is a pure-play electric materials handling company—rental, service, and charging—headquartered in Cornubia, KwaZulu-Natal. We don't sell diesel as a "second option." We don't treat electric as a SKU in someone else's catalogue. Electric is the entire business.
Behind every Farionix truck is Farionix Intelligence, our AI-driven telematics layer. It tracks every shift, predicts every service, and reports every kilogram of CO₂ avoided—turning your fleet into a measurable contribution to your ESG numbers, not just an operational line item.
The AI sitting inside our name is not decorative. It is the thesis.
Faraday gave the world the current. We're building what runs on it.

/ 03 — principles

Core values.

Three commitments that shape every proposal we put in front of a customer.

01

principle

Total Cost of Ownership Wins

The decision should always be made on total lifetime cost, never the sticker price. The cheapest forklift to buy is rarely the cheapest to run.

02

principle

Honesty is the Only Differentiator

We lead with the mathematics. We would far rather lose a quick sale than sell a customer the wrong operational solution. The trust earned that way is our entire business reputation.

03

principle

Electric is Ready Right Now

Advanced lithium technology has entirely erased old operational friction points like charge times and acid maintenance rooms. The legacy barriers that once justified diesel are gone.
